Nepal second richest Country in world has outstanding natural geography and because of the perennial nature of the rivers and the steep gradient of the country’s topography, Nepal has a huge hydropower potential and has possibility of power generation not only to sustain but also for power trading. Today, Nepal has hydro electricity capacity of more than 83,000MW of which currently hydroelectric power generation capacity is 619 MW out of which 463 MW is contributed by NEA and the remaining is contributed by Independent Power Producers (IPPs).There is huge business in hydropower in Nepal, and we are highly focused exploring hydro business areas.
